Microsoft is a giant tech corporation that helps users to enhance their productivity through apps, tools, web, and communication. Most of the audio calling happens through the apps, and in this condition, Teams app is way too helpful. You can do a conference easily through dial-in by using the phone number. How to Get Start with Audio Conferencing in Microsoft Teams 

Well, the meeting can be audio or video, but if you only prefer audio meetings, you can have improved audio quality through limited access to the internet. All you have to do is setting up the audio conference feature. The audio conference is not included in the Teams; furthermore, you need to know about the package. The best way to know the details of rates is to try from Microsoft page and choose your country rates. There are various types of plan exist, and you need to choose which is best for you as per your requirement.

Whoever is looking to use an audio conference from Teams should set the audio conference where the full license of Microsoft 365 is included. Whenever you select the license for yourself, just choose those packages in which the audio conference feature is included. Whatever you will purchase, you can manage all those products from the Microsoft Admin Centre. There you can see all the personal details that you provided to Microsoft. 

 From the centre, move to the “User” section and slide down to the menu of the left side “Active users.” Hit on the following option and expand the full page on the right side. Press on the three dots in front of any name of the user that has a license. Now choose the “Manage product license” option to manage the account. 

By doing this, a new tab will open on the right side in the “License” column. Drop-down the menu and make sure the necessary license is activated. 


How to Set Up the Audio Conference in the Microsoft Teams

After the Microsoft License is activated and getting in use, you can set up the phone number audio conferencing through the “Microsoft Teams Admin Centre.” Just open the “Voice” section, and in the drop-down icon, mention the phone number. 

Tap on “Add,” to mention the latest phone number. Otherwise, you can click on “Port” for transferring the existing phone number to the audio conferencing service provider. Select the region or country, location, number type, area code, and quantity of phone number for an audio conference. 

Press on the “Information” sign next to the option to know more about them. Once you complete it, press “Next” on the bottom of the screen. After that, Microsoft will start the operation related to setting up the phone number. 

The phone number will automatically be assigned depending on the area code availability. However, you can change the phone number of audio conferencing anytime you want. If you want to set the language, this option is also available for you to modify. 

Once confirming the number for audio conferencing, you will be all set to begin hosting calls. You will be considered as admin of the conference call.
