The upcoming movie of Christopher Nolan, Tenet, is finally released on the big screen. The tickets of the movie will reportedly go on for sale this Friday. Christopher Edward Nolan is a British-American director, famous for his distinctive films. He got 34 Oscar nominations and won ten among them. Nolan is one of the best filmmakers in Hollywood, and his mystery project Tenet has created much hype around it. The film starred Robert Pattinson and John David Washington. Although the plot is still unknown, the exciting trailer has built up anticipation among the audiences.
Tenet is a spy film produced and directed by Christopher Nolan. Nolan took over five years to write the screenplay of the film. The release of the film, though, got delayed three times due to the pandemic COVID-19. It is finally releasing on 26th August 2020 in the United Kingdom, and on 3rd September 2020 in the United States. The central characters of the film Pattinson, Washington, and Debicki, shared that they were only allowed to read the script while locked in a room. So one can imagine the secrecy level of the script. The audiences are just guessing what the movie would be all about through its posters and the trailers. All the posters have the same tagline, “Time runs out,” which only gives us the idea that the theme would be related to time inversion.
Initially, Nolan’s blockbuster was scheduled to be released much earlier and delayed several times. Warner Bros. and Nolan decided to release the film on a big screen on 17th July 2020. Still, the release date got postponed for an indefinite time. But now it is finally coming out, and the tickets are finally going on sale. According to IndieWire, Warner Bros. has planned to roll out Tenet for a sneak peek showings domestically for three days. The tickets for this special screening will be on sale for this Friday. The screening is scheduled for 21st August. Those who are willing to watch Tenet in theaters can get tickets on the Thursday sale on 27th August. The theaters have also made a deal with Warner Bros. regarding the distributed screen for the movie. The production studio will take 63% of the total ticket sale, and the theaters with more than nine screens have to put the show on screen for 12 weeks.
The release of the tickets domestically is also one step towards ensuring that the movie is finally coming. Tenet is on international sales, and the results of the shows in the UK are promising. The film is expected to be one of the blockbusters of the year. The release of the film will finally tell us how financially successful it will be. However, it is yet not known how the box office collection would look like after coronavirus. There is a decent chance that the studio could lose its money for the movie release, as it is a big step to keep theaters alive in this challenging time.
