“Thor: Love and Thunder”- Christian Bale Has Embarked on a New Journey

“Thor: Love and Thunder”- Christian Bale Has Embarked on a New Journey

Marvel Studios is now assembling its troops for the fourth film in the Thor franchise; the principal photography will kick start in Australia in the first half of 2021 (possibly January). Though the production commencement is still three months away, actors have been called up to prepare for the role, which deals with their rehearsals, costumes, combat training, and other necessary things to work on before they begin portraying their characters.

Christian Bale was seen arriving in Australia; he will join Halle Berry, Josh Brolin, Ben Affleck, Ryan Reynolds, and others as someone who has worked for both DC and Marvel. Fans were highly surprised when they heard about his recruitment, given the fact that he has confessed many times that he does not want to work in a superhero film. It will be interesting, though, seeing Bale and Hemsworth go head to head in a motion picture.

We will have to keep in mind that Christian Bale has portrayed Batman in two of the finest films ever made in a superhero genre (The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises). What has also shocked the fans is the fact that he will be playing the antagonist character and his previous experience in that kind of role include films like American Psycho and The Machinist.

Well, ask any critic in the world, even if Christian Bale is at his 50 percent for the film, he will massively overshadow Chris Hemsworth’s performance.

In one of his previous statements, Bale had shown contempt for a contemporary superhero film and had gone as far as to say that he hasn’t seen any latest comic book film except Christopher Nolan’s films, which he has done and Christopher Reeve’s Superman films, which he likes.

Fans are now curious to know what changed Bale’s mind.

A recent report has suggested that he will possibly play the role of Dario Agger, a ruthless CEO of Roxxon Energy Corporation, who was the main villain in Jason Aaron’s version of Thor comics, which was the first-ever Marvel comic that showed Jane Foster lifting Thor’s hammer.

Since Natalie Portman’s inclusion and Jane Foster’s new incarnation has already been confirmed, we can assume that the upcoming film will draw heavy inspirations from Jason Aaron’s comics.

Academy Award winner for Black Swan, Natalie Portman will return to reprise her role of Jane Foster almost a decade after her last Marvel film Thor: The Dark World. In her last interview with Jimmy Fallon, she described the film as “silly, funny, and great” and enthused about her new opportunity of working for Marvel. She expressed her pleasure at being given a chance to act under Taika Waititi and said that she is quite happy to be included in the team.

“Thor: Love and Thunder” currently has a slotted release date of February the 11th, 2022. 2022 will be a great year for Marvel with its Phase 4 films lined up one after the other. Thor: Love and Thunder will be released amidst high-profile tentpoles like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Black Panther II, and Captain Marvel 2.

Thor 4 Theory: Lady Sif Is Thor’s Love Interest Instead Of Jane Foster

Thor 4 Theory: Lady Sif Is Thor’s Love Interest Instead Of Jane Foster

Thor is one of the best movie series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The role of Thor was played by the famous Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth. According to the Marvel comics and the MCU, Thor is known to be the God of Thunder. The movie Thor has three parts so far. The fourth part is in works these days and is expected to release in early 2021.

Lady Sif is an Asgardian warrior and shares a great friendship-bond with Thor. The actress Jaimie Alexander is playing the role of Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thor ended up powerless on Earth after involving in a war with Frost Giants. Later, Sif disobeyed the order of their new king Loki and went to Earth along with her friends to save Thor. Lady Sif was last seen in the film Thor: The Dark World. It is believed that she can return in the upcoming Thor: Love & Thunder.

It is believed that Lady Sif could be the new love interest of Thor instead of his previous love interest Jane Foster in the upcoming fourth film of the Thor film series, Thor: Love and Thunder. The actress Natalie Portman is playing the role of Jane Foster in the Marvel comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sif has always supported Thor in the MCU and according to the Marvel comics as well, but the fans are yet waiting for her appearance from quite a long time.

In the first two movies of the Thor series, Jane Foster was the love interest of Thor, but with the changing storyline, she did not appear in the third part, Thor: Ragnarok. However, Marvel has planned to bring back Jane Foster once again in the Thor series, and according to the Marvel comics, it is expected that Jan Foster will appear as a new “Mighty Thor” in the upcoming fourth part of the Thor film series, Thor: Love and Thunder. In this way, Marvel has a chance to show the love-chemistry between Thor and Jane and also has the opportunity of showing another angle to the love story of Thor in the form of Lady Sif, where she could be seen in a romantic scene with Thor.

Thor & Lady Sif’s Romance In Marvel Comics

According to the comics, Lady Sif and Thor were in a love relationship a long time ago. Even Thor offered his own life to Hela in exchange for the life of Sif. Later, they were forced apart. Thor forgot about Sif after forming a relationship with Jane Foster and becoming a superhero on the Earth. Odin, the father of Thor and the King of Asgard, never wanted his son to be in a relationship with a mortal girl Jane Foster. So, he asked Jane to pass a test to show how worthy she was with Thor. Jane failed that test and was asked by Odin to have her memory taken away. Thor did not want this to be happening with Jane and was hurt badly.

Later, to change the things, Odin managed to make Lady Sif and Thor cross their paths again to rekindle their relationship, and with the result, both of them shared several adventures like the battle with Adam Warlock and other villains such as Surtur, Ulik, and many more.

Thor & Jane’s Relationship Is Already Over In The MCU

According to the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the legacy of Thor started with the Thor-Jane Foster relationship. But Marvel ended up their story by addressing some lines in the film, Thor: Ragnarok about their breakup even though they shared a great love-bond. So, Marvel has to stick with this decision instead of getting back to the Jane-Thor relationship, and that would be a mistake if Marvel goes back to it in Thor 4.

After discussing some of the essential points regarding Thor and Lady Sif’s romance in the upcoming film, Thor: Love and Thunder, we have concluded that Thor and Lady Sif’s romance can work in Thor 4 because Sif was not on Asgard when it was attacked by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. It clearly shows that she could find the way back to Asgard and her friends and can reunite with them easily following Thor and his love interest as well. Also, according to the comics, Sif held long-lasting feelings for Thor and secretly gets jealous of Jane Foster. Probably this is the right time for Sif to grab the opportunity of reuniting with Thor.
