Rockstar Games Might Be Working on Something Other Than GTA 6

Rockstar Games Might Be Working on Something Other Than GTA 6

With its predecessors being a huge success, the anticipation of a possible Grand Theft Auto game, namely “Grand Theft Auto VI” has fans on the edge of their seats, especially when it has been almost 7 years since Grand Theft Auto V was released. While the gaming community was waiting for that announcement, it now seems like Rockstar had some other plans that worked on GTA 6.

It’s been a full 7 years since the release of the iconic game of GTA 5. This game changed the way people looked at open-world games, the sheer gameplay and various aspects of the game has kept it relevant, especially its multiplayer mode, even today, after so many years after its release.  Fans have waited this long patiently for the next game in the series. Also, though there has never been any solid proof about when Grand Theft Auto 6 will be launched, apart from some ideas, there has not been a probable launch date that is known. The only thing that is sure and the thing that the fans are clinging on to is the fact that GTA 6 is for sure in development. But recent evidence shows that the next game that Rockstar releases might not be GTA 6 after all.

Rockstar Games, without a doubt, holds a lot of clout within the gaming community. Back in 2013 when they launched Grand Theft Auto, it became one of the most critically acclaimed games in history and broke multiple records and all that in just a matter of weeks. The same goes for “Red Dead Redemption 2”, a game from the same developer which is now proclaimed as one of the best video games of all time.

Now though, after the release of “Red Dead Redemption 2”, fans have their hopes high for the next game of Grand Theft Auto. And it also seems fair that after such a long time of Grand Theft Auto V launching, developer Rockstar should launch Grand Theft Auto VI. But fans will be disappointed as according to a recent leak, it has come to light that GTA 6 might not be on the books for the next launch.

One fan has found the LinkedIn page for one Sarah Overend, an animator for Rockstar Games who has done previous work for Red Dead Redemption On her LinkedIn page, Overend says that she is a gameplay and weapons animator currently working on Red Dead Redemption Online and a “TBA” title.

But then again, there are points on either side as it is no secret that Grand Theft Auto VI is in development, but it is also common for developers to be secretive about a title while working on it, even if the game being in development is not a secret. And all of this put together can simply point out that the game in development is none other than GTA 6, but then again, there is nothing confirming that.

As of right now, there has been no kind of official statement about anything. Not any game or anything else for that matter of fact. No one knows which direction Rockstar Games or GTA 6 is going. And as a result of the prolonged delay and no news, the fans are growing more and more impatient day by day. As a result, Grand Theft Auto VI is slowly but surely reaching the infamy level on par with “Half-Life 3”. But regardless of everything else, the whole of the gaming community and the fans base will need to sit and wait for any form of news that might come from developer Rockstar Games.
