PS5 Game Sizes Get Revealed and You Might Need External Storage

PS5 Game Sizes Get Revealed and You Might Need External Storage

The PS5 game sizes have been revealed, and yes, they do have the tendency to chew through SSD storage at a superfast speed. The 825GB SSD storage of the PS5 might be blazing fast, but it will most probably fill up with some installs of the games that are coming soon.

Till now there are not many of the install sizes announced for the upcoming games, but the ones that have been announced include:

The Demon’s Souls remake will have an install size of over 66GB.

The Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch Edition, would have an install size of 105GB. Even, if you install only Spider-Man: Miles Morales, it would be consuming over 50GB of your PS5’s SSD space.

The console games are getting more significant year after year and so have the storage for games consoles. The storage on the gaming consoles have increased too, as the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro comes with 1TB of storage.

But, even if the PS5 comes with a superfast SSD, it has less storage compared to that of the PS4 Pro. And it looks like with the large game install size; players will not be installing the large game libraries on PS5 consoles until Sony comes out with some sort of data compression techniques.

So, the PS5 storage will have an off-the-shell expandable SSD storage. But these should be PCIe 4.0 SSDs, and Sony certified. However, none of them is available right now. Like the expandable storage for Xbox Series X, the PS5 expandable SSD storages would be costing a good amount.

Storage Consumption

The installation of Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch Edition would be taking over 13 percent of the SSD storage of the PS5. If more games would be consuming this much storage, then this will be bad news for the PS5 SSD storage. Like the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 comes with a massive install size, alongside many other games.

However, this would be a very minimal problem if you have a robust broadband connection for downloading massive games and that too in an expected amount of time. But if your connection is slower, then you will require a significant amount of time and patience for playing the next-generation games.

Compared to the PS5, the Xbox Series X would be coming with a 1TB SSD, but it will also get filled up quickly if the games come up with large install sizes.

However, what is the situation of these next-generation gaming consoles, would more effectively be figured out when they launch in November.

The Xbox Series X is all set to launch worldwide on November 10; however, the PS5 would be launching in the US and other regions on November 12, while the countries like U.K., Europe, and others will have to wait till November 19. Pre-orders are currently live for PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S, but their stocks are selling out at lightning speed. So, if you want to order any one of them, then don’t think for the second time, just order it quickly while they are in stock. Otherwise, you will have to wait for them to arrive again.

No Demo for FIFA 21, Still There Is a Lot to Wait for

No Demo for FIFA 21, Still There Is a Lot to Wait for

FIFA 21 is one of the most awaited games of 2020, as the previous versions have been a huge hit. However, in their latest tweet, Electronic Arts announced that they would not be releasing a FIFA 21 demo this year as they want their team to be focusing on delivering the best full game experience. EA made the announcement from their official Twitter account where they also declared that they would be launching FIFA 21 on 9th October, and their team is working hard for it. The release of FIFA 21 is delayed due to the pandemic. Earlier it was expected to be launching in September.

FIFA 21 is expected to be one of the best offerings from Electronic Arts. FIFA 21 will be available in three different editions where Standard edition costs $59.99, the Champions edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate edition will be coming for $99.99. There are obvious differences in players and kits among all these three editions. FIFA 21 will be available across all the current generation major gaming consoles including the PS4 and Xbox one, as well as the next-gen consoles, the PS5, and the Xbox series X.

The skipping demo from FIFA 21 has received mixed reactions from the fans. Many fans are disappointed as EA breaks its tradition of releasing demos. They believe that there is not much that developers can add to the full game experience by saving the time of not releasing a demo. However, some fans are not bothered by FIFA not releasing a demo. They say that is not a big deal and it will save some time for them playing against AI. They believe that EA is going to add some more exciting features to the game by saving the time of releasing a demo. The release of FIFA 21 in October is going to be more special as PES 2021 is already here and EA is certainly preparing to beat this game.

It is expected that in FIFA 21, EA will be making some improvements in gameplay and career mode than the previous versions. FIFA 21 is going to come with the ‘Quick Sim’ option which will allow players to jump in and out of the game and influence the direction of the season. There is also going to be a new Active Training System to improve the skills and capabilities of the players, and it will be useful as the opposition AI has also been improved. The game is also going to have better controller haptics, lighting system, audio, and off-ball humanization for the better experience of playing the game. There will be new attacking systems like Agile Dribbling, Positioning Personality, and Creative Runs to enhance the immersive experience of playing.

There is a lot that can be expected from FIFA 21, and now as EA has officially announced the release date of the game, it is becoming difficult for fans to keep up their excitement, even if there are going to be few changes.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw Released for Switch, PS4, and Xbox One

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw Released for Switch, PS4, and Xbox One

Rapid expansion is going on in the gaming industry; nevertheless, there is still a massive shortage of decent space genre video games. Double Damage Games tried last year to fill this void by releasing their new video game Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Although the game is a gem in the space video game genre, it ultimately failed in its initial days, thanks to its publisher, who released it only on Epic Store. Finally, after a long time, they have decided to correct their mistake; thus, the game has now been released on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4.

It seems to be a significant breakthrough decision taken by the handlers of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw because within a few days of its release, the game has acquired a lot of praise and is persistently trying to achieve more. More importantly, the game has received quite a new aspect that is different from the Epic Store version. The pilot of the spaceship in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw will now enjoy 24 hours music while riding it in outer space. Furthermore, the option of auto-pilot has also been altered in favor of gamers.

Precisely, there are several new features added to Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Below we have individually briefed about all of them. Here:

  • A music system and MP3 and radio facility are added to the Cockpit of the ships, and it offers all seven-channel broadcasts.
  • Single-player story campaign that allows gamers to roam freely in outer space. Gamers can collect money, smuggle or trade ships, and much more.
  • A rare Auto pursuit feature that grants players to travel anywhere on an auto-pilot mode.
  • Add friends to your journey whenever you want.
  • Arcade games along with gamble machines and an 8-ball table are placed.

Moreover, several new characters and objectives have been either changed or added to the game, including Doctor Sector and Juno Market. At the starting of the game, the gamers are short of cash, luck, and fringe. Now, gamers need to track a trail that leads to a specific killer. The game is super-exciting to play, and we advise all the gamers who love space games to try it.

At last, the game developers have tried hard to enhance the gaming experience of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. The game is doing quite well; however, let us see how it fares in the coming days.
