“Thor: Love and Thunder”- Christian Bale Has Embarked on a New Journey

“Thor: Love and Thunder”- Christian Bale Has Embarked on a New Journey

Marvel Studios is now assembling its troops for the fourth film in the Thor franchise; the principal photography will kick start in Australia in the first half of 2021 (possibly January). Though the production commencement is still three months away, actors have been called up to prepare for the role, which deals with their rehearsals, costumes, combat training, and other necessary things to work on before they begin portraying their characters.

Christian Bale was seen arriving in Australia; he will join Halle Berry, Josh Brolin, Ben Affleck, Ryan Reynolds, and others as someone who has worked for both DC and Marvel. Fans were highly surprised when they heard about his recruitment, given the fact that he has confessed many times that he does not want to work in a superhero film. It will be interesting, though, seeing Bale and Hemsworth go head to head in a motion picture.

We will have to keep in mind that Christian Bale has portrayed Batman in two of the finest films ever made in a superhero genre (The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises). What has also shocked the fans is the fact that he will be playing the antagonist character and his previous experience in that kind of role include films like American Psycho and The Machinist.

Well, ask any critic in the world, even if Christian Bale is at his 50 percent for the film, he will massively overshadow Chris Hemsworth’s performance.

In one of his previous statements, Bale had shown contempt for a contemporary superhero film and had gone as far as to say that he hasn’t seen any latest comic book film except Christopher Nolan’s films, which he has done and Christopher Reeve’s Superman films, which he likes.

Fans are now curious to know what changed Bale’s mind.

A recent report has suggested that he will possibly play the role of Dario Agger, a ruthless CEO of Roxxon Energy Corporation, who was the main villain in Jason Aaron’s version of Thor comics, which was the first-ever Marvel comic that showed Jane Foster lifting Thor’s hammer.

Since Natalie Portman’s inclusion and Jane Foster’s new incarnation has already been confirmed, we can assume that the upcoming film will draw heavy inspirations from Jason Aaron’s comics.

Academy Award winner for Black Swan, Natalie Portman will return to reprise her role of Jane Foster almost a decade after her last Marvel film Thor: The Dark World. In her last interview with Jimmy Fallon, she described the film as “silly, funny, and great” and enthused about her new opportunity of working for Marvel. She expressed her pleasure at being given a chance to act under Taika Waititi and said that she is quite happy to be included in the team.

“Thor: Love and Thunder” currently has a slotted release date of February the 11th, 2022. 2022 will be a great year for Marvel with its Phase 4 films lined up one after the other. Thor: Love and Thunder will be released amidst high-profile tentpoles like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Black Panther II, and Captain Marvel 2.

Netflix: 5 Things To Love About The Babysitter: Killer Queen

Netflix: 5 Things To Love About The Babysitter: Killer Queen

The Babysitter: Killer Queen is a comedy horror film directed by McG. It was released on September 10, 2020, and has not gained that much fame as Netflix wanted. It is a sequel to the film, The Babysitter, which was released in the year 2017. This film was not as much a big hit as its first part, but it also does not mean that there is nothing in this film to appreciate.

Here are five things to love about the film, The Babysitter: Killer Queen.

The Campy Humor

One of the best parts of The Babysitter was that it emphasized its campy humor perfectly. Along with the story of the film, it also focussed on its B-movie humor. However, some of the jokes were not appreciated but still, the comedic vibes of The Babysitter: Killer Queen was the same as that of the first film. The most lovely things in this film are over-the-top death scenes, the scary moments, and the campy humor of Cole’s therapy sessions.

A New Primary Antagonist

Samara Weaving, like Bee, played the character of Cole’s babysitter in the film, The Babysitter. Since the story of both the films, The Babysitter and The Babysitter: Killer Queen is almost the same in terms of structure. It would not be the right choice for the franchise to make Samara Weaving again plays the role of the main antagonist. It could also make the film boring. As the storyline is the same about the Satanic cult, the franchise made a great decision to use Melanie as the new antagonist in Killer-Queen. It was an excellent decision because Melanie was a good and long-time friend from the first movie, and showing her as a villain in this film was a decent twist.

Bringing The Original Cult Back

It is always a great decision to bring back the original cast for a sequel because recasting and writing a movie script for completely different characters can be frustrating. It can be very complicated and confusing for the audience as well. Robbie Amell, Bell Thorne, Andrew Bachelor, and Hana Mae Lee are some of the characters who have been brought back into the sequel of The Babysitter. These characters created a bridge between both of the films for the continuation of the story.

Cole And Phoebe Teaming Up

Jenna Ortega is playing the role of Phoebe in the film, The Babysitter: Killer Queen. We have seen in the first movie that Melanie was the friend of Cole, but in this film, she joined a dark side and played the role of a primary antagonist. To fight back against the cult, Cole needed someone for his help. Phoebe was the one who came in the firm of Cole’s helping hand. Phoebe consistently ran the story of the film and made it more interesting.

The Babysitter Being Good

In the film, The Babysitter, Samara Weaving, as Bee, played the role of a babysitter. Cole truly loved Bee because she was an excellent babysitter. But, the unexpected thing was the return of Samara Weaving and the reveal that Bee was not as evil as she appeared. The audience was pleased to see the character of Bee as she cared all along because she made a pact with the devil to save another kid.

After learning about all the five things to love about the film, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, we have concluded that the babysitter was really sweet, and to save the kid, she made a pact with the devil. Also, there are several other ways about loving the character of Bee as she cared a lot till the end. There are many twists in the film, especially Melanie becoming the new primary antagonist.
