The Mythical Tale of Legendary Pokémon

The Mythical Tale of Legendary Pokémon

The Pokémon franchise has produced several riveting and strong Pokémon. While some of them use their unparalleled and boundless powers to suppress others, the rest use their capabilities to maintain peace and prosperity across the globe. Regardless of what they do, they are amazing, and we can never get enough of them. Games like Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield already have a long list of Legendary Pokémon but the constant additions like the anticipated Crown Tundra DLC, make it worth your while. Let us explore some of the Legendary Pokémon characters we have had up until now.

Arceus And The Creation of All Things

Almost every myth has the same story. All myths believe that there did not exist anything in the world, and the darkness engulfed the entire universe. Out of nowhere, a light appeared, and it led to the creation of the world as we know it today. The same concept is moulded and used in the Pokémon universe. The story says that an Egg materialized and Arceus was born from it. Arceus was the first presentation ever, and Sinnoh legends claim that Arceus carved everything else. Three of the most notable creations by Arceus were Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. Dialga was responsible for the time-flow, Palkia governed the space. Giratina turned out to be very uncontrollable and had to be exiled away. It was left to fend for itself in the Distortion World.

Creation of “Lake Trio” if Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit were to monitor Dialga and Palkia. The three new creations were also manifestations of knowledge, willpower and emotions, respectively. Humans were created last and received all these traits from these previous creations. Somewhere between the creation of the latter trio and humans, Mew appeared. Mew is usually considered ancestors to all Pokémon.

Continent Formation and Chaos

Creation of the universe and Earth led to a pressure build-up beneath the sea and land surfaces. The pressure beneath the waters birthed Kyogre, and the one beneath the land birthed Groudon. The two primitive creatures were in constant disagreement. Rayquaza, formed by passive elements in the Ozone, was responsible for keeping the two at bay. Parallel to all these events, Regigigas travelled across terrains and created continents. It constructed several fragments of itself, named Registeel, Regirock and Regice. Over some time, a group of Regi were locked away by mortals even though they worshipped them.

The Tower Duo And The Burning Of The Brass Tower

People view Lugia and Ho-Oh completely identical. Lugia overlooks the vast oceans and seas alongside watching the Legendary Bird triad, while Ho-Oh makes the Legendary Dog triad and monitors the skies. On one day a thunderbolt hit Brass Tower, house of Lugia and the house caught fire. An immediate burst of rainfall doused the fire, and no Pokémon was hurt.

Truth and Ideals: The Fractured Dragons

Sometime in history, the Unova region was host to a mysterious dragon dominated by twin heroes. When the twins discovered Unova, they had different expectations for the land. While one went on a journey to find ideals, the other went to find the truth.  When the brothers began to disagree on what was more critical, the dragon fractured into Reshiram and Zekrom.

All in all, these are some of the most legendary Pokemon to date. The list did not contain the names of the upcoming Pokemon.
